A very beautiful place for relaxation and swimming. There is all the necessary infrastructure - a summer cafe, toilets, picnic tables.

The Zarasaitis Lake peninsula has been known since the interwar Lithuanian times. In 1933, when the city's residents began to take an interest in water sports, one of the first open swimming pools in Lithuania with a diving board was built on the shore of Zarasaitis Lake, near the source of the Nikaja River, near the "Aušra" villa. Athletes used to prepare for various competitions here, and interstate and intercity swimming matches were held: on July 2, 1937, L. Kačinskas from Zarasai set a swimming record by swimming the 100-meter breaststroke. In the post-war years, the Zarasai swimming pool was the best in Lithuania. Zarasai water sports were made famous by coaches – Henrikas Reingoldas, Pavel Bezubovas, Andrius Frolovas, Algis Štaras and swimmers brothers Čarškiai, V. Vrubliauskas, L. Kačinskas, Leonidas Bezubovas, Zigfridas Andersonas, Artūras Štaras. Pavel Bezubovas worked as a coach of the republican national team, and coach A. Štaras’s student Robertas Žulpa became the champion of the Moscow Olympic Games in 1980. In 1965, a concrete springboard was built instead of the former wooden springboard, tourism infrastructure was arranged, and a ten-meter high springboard for diving into the water in an open pool was built – the only one of its kind in Lithuania.

In May 2014, the Zarasaitis Lake beach opened according to the project of the architectural collective “a2sm” and acquired a humane modern form. The beach of Lake Zarasaitis with an open swimming pool has been considered a center of attraction for vacationers in the city of Zarasai for several decades. For many generations, memorable summers in Zarasai are associated with jumps from a ten-meter diving board into the water - the only one of its kind in Lithuania. Currently, the infrastructure of the diving board and the bridge surrounding the pool is being renovated.

Now a modern children's playground has been installed here, a cafe is open in the summer, and the ten-meter diving board and the pool create a special atmosphere. The beach of Lake Zarasaitis has remained one of the most popular centers of attraction in the city of Zarasai for several decades, and for many people it is associated with the most memorable summers and adventures
