Großer Bischofsweiher

Named in Voksmund Dechsendorfer Weiher, the Bischofsweiher is part of a recreational area near Erlangen and in the summer popular destination for water sports and swimming.

In 1504, the Great Episcopal pond was sold to the Bishop of Bamberg by the Baiersdorf agent. The name of the carp pond indicates the medieval sale.
