Until 1949, there was an imposing railway-stone arch bridge, but was blown up by the Germans themselves to prevent the Allies on the rise.
The current 110 meter long bridge was rebuilt in the same year, this time mostly as a steel construction - the decommissioning took place in 1994. A year later, the bridge then had to be completely blocked because of dilapidated. Already 3 years before, the bridge was listed as a historical monument. Still an impressive, highly visible building!
