The vast but very low-lying Argos floodplain forms an almost perfect arc of white pebble beach lined with palm trees between Kiveri and Nafplio. Unfortunately the road has been built too close to the water so that rising sea levels and winter storms are narrowing the beach to a sometimes unpleasant tiny strip, and threatens to erode the road soon as well.

The coastal road leads directly along the beach - which is about 2m wide and consists of gray pebbles. Nobody would think of swimming here. And cycling is no fun either because the road is extremely busy.
