The Strömsrum corps-de-logi is a work by Kalmar master builder Anders Törnberg from 1761. Two half-timbered stories high with a high mansard hip roof, it testifies to the ancient carpentry skills that characterized the region. The present-day "Träslottet" was built by Governor Baron Carl Rappe. The main building was at one time painted yellow to imitate a stone house. The house was built on the foundations of a house built in 1721 by Ture Gabriel Bielke, then a single-story structure with four rooms and a hall.
