The monument in the form of two granite obelisks symbolizing the WTC towers was erected on May 15, 2002. A clearing burnt out by fire was chosen as the site. The initiator of the monument was the youth from the school in Godziesze. On this occasion, over 5 thousand trees were also planted to commemorate all the victims of the attack in New York. According to the students, this living monument is to symbolize - the solidarity of nations in opposing violence. The trees were planted by students, but also by firefighters, who paid tribute to their New York colleagues in this way. Today it is a huge forest.
