This descent from (or ascent to) Botvatnet provides sumptuous views of lakes, peaks, cliffs, sea and the town of Svolvær. It's a magical landscape, typical of Lofoten, with many lakes at different elevations and many jagged mountains. Bear in mind that Svolvær is the last place to resupply until Leknes if hiking the Lofoten Long Crossing from east to west.
