William R. Barge was an early settler and community leader in White Rock, BC. He opened one of the town’s first general stores in 1919 and played a key role in the 1928 railway station fire response, which helped inspire White Rock’s first volunteer fire brigade. A WWI veteran, he and his family made lasting contributions to the city’s development. His legacy is remembered through local history archives and community recognition.
