From the inscription on the commemorative plaque we learn that on October 2, 1943, the Gestapo herded the residents of both Lipowce to the square by the school. The gendarmerie had a census. Eight people were read out (Jan Bielak, Józef Borowiec, Antoni Bździuch, Wojciech Bździuch, Jan Gaca, Stanisław Torba, Antoni Wojtyła), they were called out to the crowd, and then tortured. The battered people were tied with ropes, taken to the Księżpole police station, then to the Lublin Castle. They never returned.
