The former Wart Castle is said to have been built at the beginning of the 12th century and has an eventful history. Either destroyed or falling into disrepair around 1450, the current 16th-century buildings now serve as a district forester's office.

The Warthof forest site with the Wart castle ruins are worth seeing. Unfortunately the castle ruins cannot be visited.
