The history of the parish church begins in 1932, when in Janów Podlaski Bishop Czesław Sokołowski ordained a priest from Wólka Dobryńska, Stanisław Sitniczuk. During the first mass, the dean of Terespol, Fr. Franciszek Michalik, shared the idea of building a chapel in Wólka Dobryńska. After receiving permission, the residents of Wólka Dobryńska and Małaszewicze began construction with great enthusiasm. The designer was the architect Mr. Mazur. The builders of the church were local carpenters - Józef Kozerski, Antoni Lewczuk, Wiktor and Antoni Arseniuków, Julian Romaniuk. The church building was made of half-timbered beams, boarded inside and out. The church had three naves. The building also included: a presbytery, a choir, two sacristies and a vestibule. The church was decorated with three altars: the main one, dedicated to St. Kostka and 2 side altars: one dedicated to Our Lady of Częstochowa, the other to the Heart of Jesus. The altars were made by local carpenter Grzegorz Mincewicz.

The work on the construction of the chapel lasted only 4 months. On November 13, 1932, on the orders of the Bishop of Siedlce, Fr. Franciszek Michalik consecrated the temple. The constructed chapel was the first step towards establishing a parish. On March 8, 1933, Bishop Henryk Przeździecki established the parish of St. Stanislaus Kostka in Wólka Dobryńska.

The wooden church served the parishioners for 72 years. The official farewell to the old wooden church took place on June 3, 2005, when the ceremony of consecration of the new parish church took place. In 2009, the church was moved to the Palace and Park Complex in Łochów, where conservation work was underway. On May 13, 2010, Bishop Antoni Dydycz of Drohiczyn, together with Fr. Prelate Tadeusz Osiński, parish priest of Łochów, and Fr. Dariusz Parafiniuk - parish priest of Wólka Dobryńska, performed the reconsecration of the church of Divine Mercy.
