The ancient village of Klementyevo is located in the vastness of the Suzdal Opolye. In ancient times, it was the patrimony of the Moscow Novodevichy Convent, to which Prince Mikhail Kubensky donated.
As for the church itself, the wooden church in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was first mentioned here in 1628. The currently functioning, preserved brick church in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord with the chapel of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was built in 1796 to replace the dilapidated wooden one. The refectory with the bell tower were built in 1882.
The central part of the refectory facade has an original solution. On each side, these projections-risalits were crowned with domes with crosses. The spacious refectory has long been without a roof, each year becoming more and more deteriorated. Inside the bell tower, fragmentary remains of painting have survived. The tall bell tower with its iron frame spire dominates the area for many kilometers.
