This site is part of the northern historical park in Kamphaeng Phet which is best to visit by bicycle as the sites are scattered over a quiet big area in a wood (entrance fee to the northern and the southern park is each 100 Baht).

Kamphaeng Phet was one of the big cities during the time of the Sukhothai kingdom (13th to 15th century).
