This park is in the Hairsine neighbourhood and has an area of 2.46 ha. Albert Hairsine (1906-1979) was mayor of the Town of Beverly from 1948 to 1951. His administration is credited with introducing modern ideas of planning and carrying out badly needed sanitation reforms. Hairsine also established the first industrial subdivision in Beverly after the closing of some area coal mines in the 1930s.
