Hiking
Located in northern Wisconsin, Bayfield County Forest features lakes, pine woods, and rolling glacial terrain. The North Country Trail winds through here for over 50 miles, with primitive campsites near lakes like Erick and Square. You might spot deer, foxes, or even a black bear, especially near the Rainbow Lake Wilderness. Be prepared for muddy patches and bring a filter—water is available from lakes and streams along the way.
