On the Hochalm, there are two reservoirs: Hochalm I and Hochalm II. The smaller of the two, Hochalm I, was built in 1992 and was thus the first reservoir of its kind in Hinterglemm. It has since done its job and has been returned to nature as a compensatory measure.
Hochalm II was built in 2018 and now ensures snow reliability on the slopes in winter. In summer, its blue surface sparkles beautifully in the sunlight, making the area a wonderful experience even without snow.
A stroller-friendly puzzle trail called "Kodoks Wissensweg" leads around the lake.
