Charles Floden (1879-1960) was a mayor of the Town of Beverly. He came to Beverly around 1910, and over the next fifty years served on the school board and the town council. He was mayor of Beverly from 1951 to 1957. In September 1959, after residents petitioned city council, a park was named in his honour. Floden Park is in the Beverly Heights neighbourhood and has an area of 4.21 ha.
