The sculpture, whose form is an archetypal symbol—the labyrinth—is a physical but also an interior journey, impossible not to traverse once entered. The work is connected to the past, to classical culture, to birth, to life's first lessons.
Through a natural opening, one enters and exits the labyrinth, just as man has entered and exited the scene over time. Those who enter the labyrinth ask questions about their own existence, in a timeless place and dimension where it is impossible to question oneself.
The labyrinth is a reflection, a spirituality that derives from a sort of "motherhood," expressed in a gentle concentric unfolding of circles culminating in an aspiration to the high, the sublime.
A journey that seems to be within the earth but is beneath the sky, at whose center is life, the ancient source represented by a shining metal plate at the center of the spiral, which brings us back to the theme of Mother Earth and the mystery of fertilization.
