The Tomb of Ferdowsi, located in Tus, Iran, is a tomb complex honoring the Persian poet Ferdowsi. Built in the early 1930s, it showcases Achaemenid architecture to reflect Iran's rich culture and history. The tomb's design, which resembles the tomb of Cyrus the Great, features a white marble base and a decorative edifice.
The complex includes a rectangular structure surrounded by a large garden designed in the Persian Char-bagh style. The edifice has a wide chamber at the base and a cubical top with four pillars. The interior walls are adorned with sculptures depicting scenes from Ferdowsi's epic poem, the Shahnameh. The tomb has been rebuilt several times, with the current design credited to Karim Taherzadeh.
