In the 19th century, the Brzeżany estate was owned by the Maus family, who acquired it in 1877. Under their management, the palace was maintained and developed as the center of the estate.
The palace is part of a larger palace complex, which also includes the immediate surroundings. This complex also included farm buildings, such as a granary, a barn and an outbuilding.
A landscape park stretched around the palace, which has been preserved only in fragments.
After World War II and the change of national affiliation of these areas, the Brzeżany estate was nationalized. In the times of the Polish People's Republic, the palace buildings were used by the Agricultural Plant in Tarpno, which was part of the State Agricultural Farms (PGR) in Naratowo. During this period, the palace was transformed into a multi-family residential building.
Currently, the palace in Brzeżany is not in use and, like many other historic buildings of the State Agricultural Farms, it stands empty.
