I have found almost no information about this former rectory and that is a bit of a shame because the building itself is interesting, has a fairly prominent place in the centre of Kerkom and has a beautiful garden that is used as an orchard. The adjacent plot is also worth a visit with benches and a chapel in a small piece of greenery on the other side of the road opposite the church.

The rectory is walled at the front and sides. At the back a dilapidated but beautiful staircase and an inscription: above the door you see a cross and below that the year of construction (1865?) and the name of the pastor and mayor. It concerns pastor R.E. De Greef and mayor G.L. Wera. You can also find something about the Wera family. Ludovicus Wera was mayor and tenant on the castle farm.
