To determine the specific age, the trunk was drilled with a special drill in the 1980s. The annual ring holes showed a fairly uniform structure of the annual rings and suggests an age of up to 350 years. The trunk dissolves in 3 to 5 m height into numerous branches striving upwards. The crown is in very good condition except for a few broken and dead branches. The trunk is completely closed and without visible impairment. The vitality of the monumental oak is very good.
