A childhood memory for me every time I drive over here.
As children, we used to “gang” from Offenbach with our bikes and I would ride the Bonanza over this bridge to our group:
Monte Scherbelino (there was the western town to play on the right hill and the barbecue area and the tourist train below), Goethe Tower, Scheerwald, Maunzenweiher, Buchrainweiher.
Without a cell phone, GPS and above all without telling home :-)

Turning from the Heusenstämmer Schneisse onto the Wendelsweg, a steep climb immediately follows: the bridge over the Sprendlinger Landstraße.
A welcome elevation for climbing enthusiasts on the way from Rosenhöhe/Wildhof to the Goetheturm. A short sprint uphill and you can enjoy the dream of the polka-dotted jersey. Yes, bridges are the mountains of the flatlands. Here, they are also intertwined with an interesting view over the Sprendlinger Landstraße and towards Offenbach before a brisk descent again.
And onward on the beautiful Wendelsweg.
