Church of Saint John the Evangelist

In Villa d’Ogna there are two main churches:Church of San Giovanni Evangelista: Located in the hamlet of Ogna, this church has ancient origins and was elevated to a parish in 1520. Initially dedicated to Saints George and John the Baptist, it was later dedicated to San Giovanni Evangelista. The church has undergone several renovations over the centuries, with important interventions in the 17th and 19th centuries.Church of San Matteo Apostolo e Sacro Cuore: It is the parish church of Villa d’Ogna, consecrated in 1953. Its history dates back at least to the 12th century, when it was a subsidiary of the parish of Clusone. In the 20th century, the original building was too small to accommodate all the faithful, so it was rebuilt based on a design by the architect Dante Fornoni
