This Park is in the Empire Park neighbourhood and has an area of 1.05 ha. Although not developed until the 1960s and 1970s, the 1.05-ha. Empire Park has existed since the early 1910s. The name is probably a reference to the British Empire; many early Edmontonians were of British origin. Its original boundaries were west of 107 Street to 110A Street and south of 51 Avenue to 45 Avenue.
