The Stuart Fork Trail follows the Stuart Fork Trinity River from its terminus at Trinity Lake to its headwaters at Emerald Lake. The first 10 of the 14 miles have a gradual incline as you follow the river to Morris Meadows. The final 4 miles up to Emerald and Sapphire Lakes are much steeper but still manageable. There are a number of water crossings along the way, so be prepared. For overnight spots, you'll find campsites at Morris Meadows and up by the lakes.
