Climbing Parks Creek Road westwards from Edgewood offers a peaceful journey through the quiet forests of the Klamath National Forest with increasingly spectacular views opening up towards majestic Mount Shasta dominating the skyline behind you. You'll ascend steadily for approximately 10-12 miles, gaining around 2,500-2,800 ft to reach the summit area near the Pacific Crest Trail crossing at about 5,500 ft elevation. Prepare for a solid, sustained climb averaging around 5-6%, featuring challenging sections pushing 8-10% or more.
