A gruesome legend looms around the ruins of the high medieval Ödenburg near Hainsberg: a white lady is supposed to be up to mischief there. A secret passage is said to have led from the Ödenburg to the nearby Wildenstein Castle, through which the Knight of Wildenstein went to his beloved. The liaison was forbidden because the parents were against it. When the love affair was uncovered, the damsel is said to have been slain by her parents and is now haunted around the ruin in endless mourning.
