Before becoming a popular beach for the Cassis residents, Le Bestouan was once home to a steelworks!
Established in the 19th century, this ironworks processed iron ore arriving by boat. It notably produced metal for the region's shipyards.
This activity gradually ceased towards the end of the 19th century, giving way to a seaside redevelopment.

Le Bestouan Beach is located close to Cassis town center (5 minutes' walk).
It is renowned for its white pebbles, turquoise waters, and breathtaking views of Cap Canaille.
