Various types of divers and ducks are found on the open, 33-hectare water surface, which can be found in the silt zones with reed beds as well as breeding sites and food areas. A large number of other water birds look for food on the vegetation-free silt and gravel banks. An artificially created steep bank was accepted by the kingfisher for the establishment of its nesting tube as well as a nesting raft by the common terns. In addition to birds, amphibians, dragonflies and many water insects can also be found in this man-made habitat.
