The Blue Ridge climb offers a long and rewarding journey from the California foothills deep into the magnificent Giant Sequoia groves of the Southern Sierra Nevada. As you ascend from near Springville, you'll transition from dry, oak-studded hillsides into cool, dense pine and fir forests over approximately 18 miles. Be prepared for a challenge. This climb demands significant endurance. Crucially, be aware that the road surface condition is known to be highly variable – potentially rough, cracked, and potholed in places, requiring caution on the descent.
