Please check local regulations for: Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest
Climbing Bear Camp Road eastwards from near the Rogue River/Agness is a very long 25 miles, exceptionally remote journey through Southern Oregon's rugged Siskiyou Mountains, gaining over 4,000ft to the summit area near 4,600ft. Expect a sustained endurance challenge with an overall average gradient of around 4%, but featuring long stretches of steady climbing likely between 5-8%. This climb is for you if you want deep forest solitude with occasional stunning mountain vistas. Be aware of the extreme remoteness of this climb though, with a complete lack of services or cell signal, and its variable weather you'll need to plan carefully.
