A village in the east of Trakai district municipality, 5 km southeast of Senieji Trakai, next to the A4 Vilnius–Varėna–Grodno road. The center of the village. There is a library, a post office. Lake Šventininkai in Telkša. In Soviet times, it was the central settlement of the Afoninos collective farm. In 1956, the Šventininkai primary school and library were established, and in 1958, a medical station was established.
