The construction of the Juodšiliai Church began in 1936 under the care of the Ursuline Sisters, but due to the war and occupations it was not completed and turned into an orphanage, later a hospital and a polyclinic. After a fire in 1991, the building was severely damaged. The believers of Juodšiliai and the surrounding settlements decided to return the building to its original purpose, raised funds and in 2003 began construction work.
