Sacred places become what they are through people's faith and prayers. This is also the case in Padua, where people with their needs make a pilgrimage to the grave of St. Anthony. It's hard to escape the quiet piety of this place. Some of us went to the grave somewhat skeptically and, after the queues of pilgrims slowly and quietly passed by the gravestone, on which many of the pilgrims laid their hands for a long time, returned quietly and impressed.
