One of the bridges that connect the two central parts of the merged municipality Tessenderlo-Ham: on the one side Tessenderlo (with the center, Hulst, Engsbergen, Schoot and more) and on the other Ham (with Kwaadmechelen, Oostham and more). Yet it is not really a border because there are still hamlets and parts that even the Albert Canal could not change but that's another story. But Genendijk, for example, a part of Kwaadmechelen is on the same side as Tessenderlo.

Hiking

A little further south lies the 'blue bridge' and that is the bridge that takes you via the cycle highway from Tessenderlo to Leopoldsburg and many villages in between. For walkers also an easy and quick access to the nature of Velthovenheide east of the Albert Canal and Kepkensberg west. Together they form a visual whole at the point where the Dessel-Kwaadmechelen Canal and Albert Canal meet.
