A gastronomic stop you can't miss on the NC500. Crofter’s Kitchen is located on an active croft above Scourie Beach and operates with a very particular philosophy: their “30-Mile Menu”, crafted around products sourced from within a radius of about 30 miles. Hand-dived scallops near Handa Island, prawns and crab from Kylesku, local lobster, oysters from Cape Wrath, wild venison from Inchnadamph, and vegetables from small local crofts. The menu changes daily depending on what the fishermen and producers catch that morning, so here you really eat seasonally and locally.
