Sommerach Historic Wine Village

Located directly on the Mainschleife, Sommerach is one of the top locations for the noble Franconian wines. In autumn, many winemakers revive an old tradition and turn their homes in short in temporary restaurants, so-called Häckerwirtschaften. There it is best to taste the house wine with a typical local snack.

Sommerach is now (unfortunately also) no insider tip anymore. You can notice this especially in the heart of the city: despite the parking ban many cars, the parking lot (and find), typical tourist handling at the inns in the center and not the beautiful dreamy wine village of yore.

Sommerach is located on the southern Mainschleife on the wine island. Many restaurants in town available.
