Strukka Lock in Pyhtää is Finland’s only sea lock with hand-operated gates, located along the Kymijoki River near the Gulf of Finland. Originally built in the early 1900s to support the timber industry, the lock is still functional and open for self-service use by boaters. The lock, made of cut stone, spans 25 metres and reflects the area's rich industrial past. It's a unique historical site to visit during a cycling trip, especially when combined with a detour to the nearby Stockfors factory area. The route features quiet riverside roads and is suitable for trekking or cross bikes.
