The Museo de Málaga is housed in the historic Palacio de la Aduana, a neoclassical building dating back to the 18th century, originally used as a customs house and later as a tobacco factory. Following restoration, it opened as a museum in 2016, bringing together the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts and the Archaeological Museum. The museum houses an extensive collection of over 15,000 archaeological artifacts and around 2,000 works of art that reflect the history of Málaga from ancient to modern times. Of particular note are the Tomb of the Guerrero and the Mosaico de Venus.
