Usually old churches look very interesting. They have their own specific atmosphere. And this one is exceptionally ugly. It was built many years ago and looks like a typical architectural nightmare of modernity. Probably the salmon color gives it that impression. And for that "disappointment" it is worth seeing.

The parish was established on April 7, 1631 by the Archbishop of Gniezno, Jan Wężyk. The consecration of the parish church on June 29, 1631 was performed by the suffragan bishop of Płock, Stanisław Starczewski, under the title of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Nicholas the Bishop, St. Michael the Archangel and St. Catherine.

The current church of St. Nicholas, brick, built in the years 1871–1874 according to the design of the architect Symforian Szpadkowski. Consecrated on September 23, 1875 by Bishop Tomasz Kuliński (Kielce). Since that year, the parish has been called St. Nicholas the Bishop. This church was seriously damaged by Austrian artillery on December 6, 1914, and rebuilt in 1916.
