Training the tactic of 'scorched earth' with a military exercise was unfortunately successful. An activated smoke grenade accidentally ended up in the verge, and spread like wildfire across the heath. Well, not very smart with weeks of drought and a lot of wind....

Fortunately, the damage under these circumstances was limited to 130 hectares. More than 500 firefighters and many fire engines did their best with very warm hard work to fight the fire very successfully. For which THANKS!
