We are in one of the most particular and mystical places in the lower Friuli area. Here the course of the Timavo river reappears after having sunk near Škocjan in Slovenia for a 39km long underground route.
The area of the springs, located in the municipality of Duino-Aurisina, has been an important place of worship since ancient times.
