Inaugurated in 2023 after several years and, in 2007, the completion of the construction and rehabilitation works of the Grande Mosquée Nour Centrale de Katiola. The donation was facilitated by Col Hervé Touré to the Muslim community in the Hambol region, as part of inter-faith solidarity.
Through this gesture, the senior army officer, son of Katiola, Catholic, wanted to translate the meaning of ecumenism and the culture of religions which all teach peace, fraternity, social cohesion.
