The climb to Punta Veleno starts from the Gardesana road near Castello di Brenzone. It is about 8 km long with a difference in altitude of about 1000 m. Its fame comes from the extreme and constant gradient: average around 13% with numerous sections at 15% and peaks of up to 20%. It has tight hairpin bends with spectacular views of Lake Garda.

WARNING! Extremely dangerous descent, not suitable for rim brakes, even with well-maintained disc brakes, it's not easy!!!
And I'm never worried about descents otherwise 😉

Very tough climb that you have to ride at least once.
