Where gravel meets sealed road (or vise versa if you're travelling north, it's a welcome sign after 25 km of gravel riding. Depending on what distances you want to travel, you can either go left and straight through to Otorohanga or right and down into Kāwhia. I would recommend the later, but check your days and times, as there might not always be somewhere open to get food.
