The 1,512-meter-high Col de Jaman connects the cantons of Vaud and Fribourg, but the cantonal border lies a little further east. Since only the road from the Montreux side is paved, and motorized traffic is prohibited from the pass crossing, the climb is generally quite quiet for cyclists. The view from the very top over Lake Geneva is magnificent.
