This Jewish cemetery was used as a burial site from 1876 (first grave) to 1936 (last grave). (Before 1876, the Jewish citizens of Rodalben were buried in Pirmasens.)
It was completely devastated in 1940 during the Nazi era ("this can still be seen today from the missing inscription plaques"). After World War II, it was somewhat restored.

"According to a census from the first decade of the 19th century, 700 Catholics and around 100 Jews are said to have lived in Rodalben at that time. The Jews in the community were considered respected citizens. They worked primarily as businessmen, craftsmen, or doctors, and established their own school (1869 to 1937) and a synagogue (from 1874)."
