The climb up to the Moiry Dam is truly challenging. You climb for almost 30 kilometers up the long valley.
Starting in Sierre at around 500 meters above sea level, your first landmark is the beautiful mountain village of Grimentz, where you've completed the first 1,000 meters of elevation gain. Here you can refill your water bottles or take a longer break. In the old village center with its traditional wooden houses, you'll find several places to stop for refreshments.
