    The dense jungle here in the Vallée de Mai is similar to that in other countries near the equator (e.g., Panama).
    But only here does the giant Coco de Mer grow. It is also called "Coco Fesses" in Creole and French, or "buttock coconut," because of its distinctive shape.
    However, this only applies to the female trees. The fruits of the male trees actually look something like an oversized penis.
